Yes, Deepstash is free to download and read, with ads: on October 28, 2026 the App Store listed ten Pro items, from $12.99 a month to $99.99 a year, for no ads, audio and offline reading. If you want an app that teaches you something instead of another feed to scroll, edgi is free, and each of its Lessons is 60 seconds you play rather than read.

What Deepstash charges

The App Store's In-App Purchases list for Deepstash on October 28, 2026:

• Pro Monthly: $12.99 (two items) and $19.99
• Pro 3 Months: $29.99
• Pro Yearly: $29.99, $69.99, $89.99 (three items) and $99.99

Ten items at six prices, and the list moves. On October 19 it had a $119.99 yearly item and no 3-month plan; by October 28 the $119.99 was gone and the 3-month plan was back. Check the price in the app before you tap. One item reads "$49.99 Trial," and the terms say a trial "will immediately convert into a paid Deepstash Pro subscription" unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Fees are "non-refundable" except where the law says otherwise.

What you get without paying

The listing's free plan: "Access 200,000+ powerful ideas from top books, articles, podcasts, and videos" and "Create and share your own ideas." Pro adds "No Ads," "Audio playback for all ideas," offline downloads and "Unlimited History."

Saving is where the answers online disagree. On Deepstash's own public book pages, the Free column strikes through "Save Unlimited Ideas," "Listen to Ideas," "Remove All Ads" and "Offline Access." So you can save some ideas free, and Deepstash doesn't publish how many; its terms call the free plan "a limited version." No Deepstash page we found gives a daily cap, and the listing's "Create and share your own ideas" doesn't fit "you can't save anything."

Deepstash's homepage says "Replace doomscrolling with microlearning," and its free plan carries ads the way a feed does: Google Play marks it "Contains ads."
